today is the day that my parents found out that i am to exist in this world ;)
in the morning, my mom went to IRM to get her blood drawn for the pregnancy test. so she was just anxiously waiting for their call while at work. from what i heard from my mom's stories, while she wan't expecting it, the NP called at around 10am saying...
NP: "hi! is this R?"
Mommy: "yep, hi!"
NP: "congratulations! you are pregnant! what a wonderful christmas gift!"
Mommy (while welling with tears): "are you sure that's my blood?!"
NP:"yep, congratulations! i'll transfer you now to the admin to have your 6th and 8th week ultrasound visits"
Mommy (now filled with tears): "thanks sooo much!"
wow, i just couldn't imagine how happy my mom was! she held on to the results until she saw my dad when he picked her up from work. imagine how hard it was for my mom since she knew that my dad would be very elated when he hears the great news!
my dad was actually waiting for my mom's call that day. but since mom didn't tell her anything, he assumed that the results were negative. so as soon as my mom buckled up in the car, here's what i heard:
Mommy: "by the way, IRM called to tell me that i should continue taking my progesterone suppositories until the 9th week"
Daddy (his eyes and smile widened with glee!): "really?!!! ... ahhhh... i love you!"
and he gave her a tight and loving embrace!
they started talking about their hopes and dreams for me during our drive home. they were just in that blissful state, trying to get everything to sink in deeper. they just couldn't believe this great gift and blessing that they've received from my Creator. and they are very grateful to our Lord.
before i got inside mommy's tummy, my Creator was telling me that i am going to make my parents really happy when i start to get into their lives. but wow! i never thought i'd make that great impact with my grand entrance! well you see, my Creator told me that they had been waiting for me for almost 4 years now. when i asked why it took that long, He just said, "my child, there's no other perfect timing than now". so i just nodded and agreed.
going back to my story, my parents had themselves checked of course (and i guess i can share their stories with you sometime), asked our Lord for this particular intention, asked for Mama Mary's (whom Jesus just can't say no to), St Josemaria's, St. Gerard's and St. Jude's (who are all so close to God) intercessions, every night, everytime they prayed, and in all the masses that they attended. aside from their prayers, they were also banking on their families', relatives' and friends' prayers. wow, those must be thousands or millions or gazillions of prayers! so you really just won't be able to explain the happiness that they felt when they found out that i do exist! :) i'm pretty sure that my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins would also be very happy once they found out about me.
awww, i feel very special now. I can never thank You enough my Lord! :)
